Admiral's HQ named one of the UK's best buildings to work in
Tŷ Admiral, has been named the best corporate workplace by the British Council for Offices in their annual regional property awards.
The building, which opened in October 2014 covers 240,000 sq ft across 14 storeys. It took the best corporate workplace category for South Wales, the South West of England and Thames Valleys.
Judges praised the building for making a striking architectural statement in the heart of the city. They added: “Inside the company has worked collaboratively with designers and developers to create a light and spacious working space that reflects the needs of its 3,000 workers.”
The judges were also impressed by how Ty Admiral had considered their staff’s social needs – incorporating cafes, restaurants, retail spaces and a ‘get-ready room’ within what they described as “an innovative development".
The British Council for Offices represents the interests of all those who occupy, design, build, own or manage offices in the UK.
